Thanksgiving volunteers, donations

Lighthouse Mission Ministries is looking for volunteers and donations for its 100th annual Thanksgiving dinner. Last year the nonprofit served over 600 Thanksgiving dinners to those hungry or in need, with the help of volunteers and donations, according to a news release.

“Especially over the major holidays, nobody likes to be alone. The dinner gives our guests a place to connect and feel human,” said Hans Erchinger-Davis, President and CEO of Lighthouse Mission Ministries.

The dinner starts at noon on Thursday, Nov. 23, at the Church of the Assumption’s gymnasium at 2116 Cornwall Ave. To volunteer or make a donation, call 360-671-1562 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.
