The Commercial Street fire Monday evening resulted in no injuries but some damage, and while the cause is still be investigated, it looks to have been an electrical problem.

The fire started around 4:55 p.m. Monday, in the apartments at 1215 Commercial Street and was under control by 5:10 p.m.

The fire damaged contents in the room where the fire started, and there was some smoke damage in the rest of the building, according to Dave Parker, assistant fire chief.
