You’ll recognize the sign, but this iconic Bellingham boutique has a new owner
One of downtown Bellingham’s iconic shops is under new ownership.
Third Planet Boutique first opened in 2014 and can be recognized by its large orange sign above its front doors. The boutique “is a queer, woman-owned small business committed to providing hand-selected artisan products from around the world at affordable prices,” according to its website.
The new owner, Erica Millage, is a familiar face, becoming the official owner on Jan. 1 after being the shop’s manager and working at the shop since 2014, according to a news release from the boutique.
“We plan to continue providing the high quality, carefully curated selection of products and maintain the excellent level of customer service that Third Planet has offered to the community for the last 9 years,” the press release stated.
To celebrate the new ownership, the shop will be having a 20% off jewelry sale from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, as well as offering refreshments and music.
The boutique sells clothing, books, jewelry, stickers, candles, crystals and other items both in-store and online.
“At Third Planet Boutique, we believe community is important. Whether it be in the form of donating to nonprofits, participating in local events, or being a beacon of safety. We want to create an environment where everyone feels included, where everyone feels safe, and where everyone feels supported. We believe inclusivity and accessibility are of utmost importance,” the press release stated.
Third Planet Boutique is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and is at 200 W. Holly St.
