Explore Fairhaven with Evolve, Seattle Chocolate Co., Spokandy, Boehm’s and Chukar Cherries
Chocolate lovers, this new event coming to Fairhaven is perfect for your sweet tooth. The Fairhaven Association will be hosting its second annual chocolate walk on Saturday, Feb. 11, inviting visitors to walk around historic Fairhaven while sampling chocolate.
Eighteen local businesses in Fairhaven will distribute chocolates for participants, with various flavors and types at each spot, according to Heather Carter, executive director of the Fairhaven Association.
“This year we focused on PNW Chocolate makers: Fairhaven’s Evolve, Seattle Chocolate Co., Spokandy, Boehm’s Chocolates and Chukar Cherries,” Carter wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald
Registration is open online now, but the association warns you to get your tickets soon, as they are likely to run out of tickets.
“It gives visitors the chance to explore Fairhaven and discover shops they have never been to. Also, many of the businesses will offer in-store promotions that day,” Carter wrote.
Tickets cost $30 per person, or for those wanting to experience the walk with a loved one, couples packages are available for $70 that include two tickets, two glasses of sparkling wine or port, one raffle ticket for a gift basket and a $10 small business gift card. Glasses of port or sparkling wine are also available for purchase for $5 during check-in.
Check-in opens at noon at Finnegan’s Alley, located at 1106 Harris Ave., where participants will receive their chocolate bags and map of participating shops. The chocolate walk runs from 1-5 p.m.
