New happy hours, live music, massage studio and ice cream deals come to Whatcom
Here’s a roundup of the latest retail and restaurant activity around Whatcom County:
Mallard hours, deals
Mallard Ice Cream announced extended hours and daily deals for customers in a Facebook post. The ice cream shop also serves baked goods and coffee, and will be offering daily discounts such as 10% off coffee on Tuesdays and 20% off pies on Fridays.
Mallard Ice Cream will now be open from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The ice cream shop is in Bellingham at 1323 Railroad Ave.
New salon location
The Beauty Mark Boutique announced the opening of its new location in Bellingham that will provide nail, waxing, lashes and skin care services.
The new salon features new pedicure stations and is located in Bellingham at 3060 Northwest Ave. The Beauty Mark Boutique has a second location that provides cosmetic teeth whitening and tooth gem services and is located at 2404 Elm St. in Bellingham. Appointments can be made through Facebook or by calling 360-526-1496.
Brewery happy hour
The North Fork Brewery is now offering a weekday happy hour at its Deming location featuring starters, pizza and beer discounts. Weekday happy hour will run from 1-5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 6186 Mt. Baker Highway.
Massage studio planned
Elements Massage, a national massage studio chain, is opening a new massage studio in Bellingham on Jan. 28, according to an email from Donna Ickman, owner of the Bellingham studio. The studio will be open from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday. The Bellingham location is offering $40 off massages for the grand opening, and is currently hiring a massage therapist. The massage studio will be located at 318 36th St., in the Sehome Shopping Village.
Live music returns
Gateway 1890 Taphouse & Grill in Blaine announced the return of live music and happy hour deals for January and February.
The restaurant will have live music every Saturday at 7 p.m., as well as discounted food and drinks.
The restaurant is open from 4-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and is located in Blaine at 429 Peace Portal Dr.
