This specialty medical office will open in Bellingham later this month
A new specialty medical practice will open later this month in Bellingham.
The Diabetes, Osteoporosis & Weight Loss Center is scheduled to open on Tuesday, Sept. 20. at 2101 Cornwall Ave.
Dr. Sandhya Gelou and Dr. Alexander Gelou will operate the medical office, which specializes in prediabetes, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, weight management, osteoporosis, osteopenia, and bone health.
Both doctors noticed a need for this specialty practice while at the PeaceHealth Fairhaven Clinic and decided to open the center.
“We intend to use our specialized training to fill this void, in part by increasing patient access and giving them a much better chance to improve their health and quality of life,” Alexander Gelou said in a news release.
The practice will serve patients of all ages, including those who have had an abnormal bone density exam, have ever had an elevated blood sugar test, and who need help managing their weight.
