Barkley, Sunnyland and Sunset areas of Bellingham hit with morning power outage
A power outage impacted the Barkley, Sunset and Sunnyland areas of Bellingham on Monday morning, March 21.
According to the Puget Sound Energy outage map, 1,876 customers were impacted by the outage, which started at 10:43 a.m. Power started coming back in many of the neighborhoods around 12:25 p.m.
The service crews discovered a squirrel had gotten into the electrical equipment, said Andrew Padula, a spokesman for PSE.
