Bellis Fair mall announces two new stores coming soon to Bellingham
The Bellis Fair mall recently announced two new shops are coming soon to the mall, perfect for collectors, kids, and adults alike.
BoxLunch is a chain gift shop focused on pop culture and fandom. The Herald first reported it would be opening soon two weeks ago after a building permit application was filed for the shop in suite 332.
Bellis Fair mall recently confirmed the new shop is coming soon in a June 19 Facebook post.
“We are thrilled to officially announce that BoxLunch will be joining Bellis Fair in Fall 2026! We are looking forward to handing over keys next week, seeing the barricade go up Tuesday morning and then, construction begins,” the post states.
“Known for its pop culture-inspired merchandise, BoxLunch offers apparel, accessories, collectibles, home décor, gifts, and more featuring fan-favorite franchises from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Pokémon, anime, and beyond,” the post states.
No official opening date has been announced. The closest current BoxLunch location is in the Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip, Washington.
“We can’t wait to welcome them to the Bellis Fair family and bring another exciting shopping destination to our community. Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to opening day,” the post states.
The second new store is another national chain that used to have a Bellis Fair location years ago, Build-A-Bear Workshop.
“We are so thrilled to announce that Build-A-Bear will be making its return to Bellis Fair Mall early 2027! I’m already shopping,” a June 19 Facebook post from the Bellis Fair mall states.
According to Bellis Fair General Manager David Prince, the stuffed-animal chain will have a different look at Bellis Fair.
“Build A Bear will be bringing a kiosk to the middle of the mall right next Cellairis in between Claires and Zumiez early next year … we don’t have an exact date yet,” Prince told The Herald on June 19.
No official opening date has been announced. The closest Build-A-Bear Workshop location is currently at Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, Washington.
Bellis Fair mall is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at 1 Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham.
