Whatcom Roundup: Bellingham bar to reopen after fire; new lounge; festivals and events

New bar planned in Bellingham

A new bar, Roe, has filed a license for a spirits, beer and wine lounge at 207 Unity St. Suite 101. The application was filed on June 24. No opening date or other information has been released.

State Street Bar and Grill update

State Street Bar and Grill may be returning, according to a building permit sought from the city of Bellingham for “repairs to bar due to fire damage,” with no estimated cost.

The permit was filed by State Street Bar and Grill on June 26 and had not been approved as of July 1. State Street Bar and Grill was at 1315 N State Street in Bellingham and has been closed since a fire damaged the building in January.
