These Whatcom County jobs pay up to $40 per hour and are hiring now with few requirements

The local costs of groceries, housing and other necessities can quickly add up for Whatcom County residents.
Last month, the average rent in Bellingham increased as house prices also jumped across Whatcom County.
The Bellingham Herald evaluated local costs of food, housing, utilities, transportation, healthcare and student loans to determine a “living wage” for Bellingham residents.
According to our basic analysis, residents who are renting in Bellingham need to make at least $27.59 per hour gross pay, working full time. For homeowners, an individual needs to make at least $44.37 per hour gross pay.
The Bellingham Herald searched Indeed, a job listing website, and local Craigslist listings to find positions advertising around $27.59 per hour with minimal requirements that are available as of Monday, April 15.
Bookkeeper/accounting assistant at DariTech, Inc.

▪ $20 - $40 an hour plus tips and free meals each shift.
