Although Whatcom County has had some wintery weather in the last few weeks, local businesses and groups are hosting events to help you put some spring into your step as the new season comes.
From markets, plant sales, rock shows and more, don’t miss these events in Whatcom County this month:
62nd Annual Gem & Mineral Show
▪ 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 23 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 24
▪ Pioneer Pavilion Community Center, 2007 Cherry St. Ferndale
▪ The show includes fossils, gems, minerals and rocks, as well as exhibits, demos, a silent auction, raffle, kids activities and food.
▪ Free admission and parking.
Spring Makers Market at the Depot
▪ 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 30
▪ Depot Market Square 1100 Railroad Ave., Bellingham
▪ The market will feature 100 local craft, food, art and clothing vendors.
▪ Free admission
36th Annual Fairhaven Plant & Tree Sale
▪ 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30
▪ 1400 Larrabee Ave, Bellingham
▪ Over a dozen vendors will be selling plants, veggie starts, garden items, ornamentals, trees, bamboo, bushes, berries, native plants and specialty grasses.
▪ Free admission, and street parking is available.
