Whatcom Roundup: Local brewery expands; Chipotle adds new location; holiday events

Gruff Brewing opens kitchen
Gruff Brewing, a brewery in downtown Bellingham has built its own kitchen that opened on Thursday, Dec. 21.
The brewery used to only have beer, drinks and a food truck outside, but now through building its own kitchen will offer a variety of food and even cocktails. No menu has been announced.
Gruff Brewing is regularly open from 3 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday at 104 E Maple St.
New Chipotle coming to Bellingham
Keep your eye out for the newest chain restaurant coming to Bellingham. Chipotle’s latest permit through the city of Bellingham has been approved for a new sign at its new location. The permit was filed Nov. 21 and was approved Dec. 11 with an estimated cost of $20,000. The restaurant does not have an opening date, but will be at 104 Sammish Way.
