Business tidbits: New restaurant and food truck, downtown factory planned and local events
Here’s your weekly roundup of the latest retail, business and restaurant activity in and around Whatcom County:
New restaurant planned for Bellingham
A new restaurant is hoping to come to Bellingham and has filed building permits under the name The Deep End.
The new restaurant would be at 17 Prospect St., but has not been approved as of Oct.16.
New food truck opens in Bellingham
A new food truck, Incredibowls, opened last month, offering “a healthier fast-food option” with rice or quinoa bowls with a variety of proteins and toppings.
Incredibowls has a covered patio space outside its truck at 1225 Roeder Ave., and will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
New factory and store planned to open
A Bellingham building permit was filed for a new wool factory and mercantile, Spincycle, at 120 Grand St.
The proposed project would cost approximately $1,750,000 and has not been approved as of Oct. 16.
Local spa plans restaurant addition
Zazen Salon Spa has filed multiple building permits to add a espresso shop to its spa.
Some of the permits have already been approved as of Oct. 12. The spa is at 11 Bellwether Way, Suite 102, next to Hotel Bellwether in Bellingham.
