Business tidbits: new coffee stand, all day happy hour, local pumpkin farms open for season

Here’s a roundup of the latest retail, business and restaurant activity in and around Whatcom County:

New coffee stand opening

Giddy Up! Espresso, a chain is opening a new coffee stand on Thursday, Oct. 12. The drive-thru stand is offering free drinks and merchandise giveaways during a grand opening event on Oct. 12-13. The stand is at 1321 W Bakerview Road, where Big Foot Java used to be.

The coffee stand has not posted operating hours.

Arlis’s Restaurant expanding hours

Well-loved Bellingham breakfast spot, Arlis’s Restaurant, will now be open every day of the week according to a recent Facebook post.

The restaurant will now be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily and is at 1525 Cornwall Ave.

Brandywine offering all day, everyday happy hour

Brandywine Kitchen is offering a happy hour menu all day, every day during the month of October.

The happy hour menu includes $5 wine and beer, $12 fish and chips, $10 chicken tenders, $5 fries and more.

Brandywine Kitchen is open from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and is at 1317 Commercial St. in Bellingham.
