Business tidbits: Daiso reveals opening date, new food truck, Bellingham brewery opens

Daiso announces opening date
Daiso, a Japanese dollar store, has announced its opening date for its new Bellingham location.
The store will have a grand opening event Sept. 2-3, and will be giving away tote bags and plushies to the first 100 customers who make purchases of at least $30.
The store will be at 1145 E. Sunset Drive, next door to Round Table Pizza in the Sunset Square shopping center.
New food truck opens
The Good Board, a new charcuterie food truck that opened on Tuesday, is serving charcuterie boards with meat, cheese, fruits, crackers, vegetables, spreads and more, as well as grilled cheese sandwiches.
The truck will be parked at The North Fork Brewery Barrel House from 3-8 p.m. every Thursday in August. The North Fork Brewery is at 1900 Grant St. in Bellingham.
New brewery opens in Bellingham
Larrabee Lager Company, a long awaited new brewery officially opened on Friday, Aug. 4. The brewery serves housemade beer, pizza and appetizers and offers a family friendly atmosphere for all ages.
Larrabee Lager Company will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant and brewery is located at 4151 Meridian St., Suite 100, on Bellingham’s north side.
The NW WA Fair starts
The Northwest Washington Fair in Lynden is back for the summer, running from Thursday, Aug. 10 through Saturday, Aug. 19.
The fair will include carnival games, rides, exhibits, food vendors, farm animals, 4-H competitors and a variety of entertainment.
