Bellingham Library’s children craft fairs

The Bellingham Public Library is hosting childrens’ craft fairs where local kids will be able to sell their homemade crafts and products.

“The Children’s Craft Fair gives local kids a great opportunity to learn entrepreneurial skills and money management skills, and they spend their summer creating homemade products,” Annette Bagley, Bellingham Public Library’s head of community relations, wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

The first craft fair took place on July 28, and the second fair will run from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, August 11 inside the Bellis Fair Mall, between the Bellis Fair Library Branch and the food court.

“Children make a wide range of items from bookmarks to pet toys to jewelry and woodworking. It is amazing how creative they are. All the money is theirs to keep,” Bagley wrote.

All items at the fair will be $5 or less, and only cash will be accepted. The Bellis Fair Mall is at 1 Bellis Fair Parkway in Bellingham.
