Here’s a roundup of the latest retail, business and restaurant activity in and around Whatcom County:

Bar, coffee lounge opens in Bellingham

The Foxhole, a new 21 and older cocktail and coffee lounge, opened June 16. The bar promises “low light, lite bites and a transcendental space for all to come frolic in the nite” with absinthe, coffee, poutine and dessert, according to an Instagram post.

The Foxhole is open from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 3-10 p.m. Thursday, 3-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and is at 215 W Holly St. Suite 101 in Bellingham.

New Chicago-style restaurant in Lynden

Chicago Joe’s, a new restaurant serving authentic Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches, opened in Lynden on June 16. The new restaurant also serves burgers, waffle fries and hot dogs and is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The new restaurant is at 8082 Guide Meridian, Suite 103.

JoJo’s Doughnuts searching for a new location

JoJo’s Doughnuts, the downtown doughnut shop with unique and mouthwatering flavors, has been temporarily closed since late May, due to staffing issues and the front glass door being shattered.

Now, JoJo’s Doughnuts has posted on its Facebook page in an effort to find a new location.

No new location or reopening information has been announced by the shop. Stay tuned.

Chiropractor trying to come to Bellingham

The Joint Chiropractic, a chain of chiropractor offices offering walk-in visits and consultations, is seeking to open a new location in Bellingham.

A city building permit was filed for the business on June 22 for a location at 1301 Bakerview Rd. Suite 106, near Fred Meyer and Costco.

The permit is under review and has not been accepted yet.

Volli offering discounted summer activities

Need a fun summer activity on a rainy day? Volli, the pickleball and entertainment center in Bellingham, is offering 50% off all activities for the summer, through Aug. 31.

Visitors can enjoy pickleball, golf simulators, cornhole, ping pong, shuffleboard, pool and social darts, or visit the in-house restaurant for a meal.

Volli is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and is at 4190 Cordata Parkway in Bellingham.
