Bed Bath & Beyond announced it will be closing 236 stores across the nation, including Bellingham’s location.

The home store released a document on Tuesday, Feb. 7, with a list of store closures that will take place in 2023 that includes five store locations in Washington state: Bellingham, Vancouver, Kennewick, Issaquah and Walla Walla.

The Bellingham store at 4255 Meridian St. has hung posters in its windows announcing the store’s closure and a sale on the whole store. Items are currently up to 30% off.

“Store closing sales will commence and continue over the next few weeks and months,” a media representative wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

The Bellingham store does not have a definite closure date yet, according to a sales representative.

The closest Bed Bath & Beyond store for Whatcom County residents will now be the Burlington location at 1915 Marketplace Drive.
