Two new restaurants open in Bellingham and a pub reopens

Here’s a roundup of recent retail activity around Whatcom County:

A couple of restaurants that recently opened in Bellingham are the Saigon Cafe and Thai Maison.

The Saigon Cafe is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday at the Lakeway Center, next to Whole Foods. According to its website, the restaurant offers a variety of Asian comfort foods like rolls and Banh Mi sandwiches with Northwest ingredients.

Thai Maison is in the Sunnyland Square center near Trader Joe’s. According to its Facebook page, it is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

The longtime children’s consignment store Little Bugs closed on Saturday, Feb. 20. The store, established in 2002, was at 2400 Yew St.

The COVID-19 pandemic had hit the business hard, making it difficult to continue operating, according to a note on its website.

Lenny’s Bike Shop announced on social media that it is opening a shop in Lynden on Saturday, March 6. It is at 415 Front St., near the Lynden Dutch Bakery. The company also has a shop in Ferndale, which it opened in 2014.

The Archer Ale House at 1212 10th St. in Fairhaven has reopened. According to its Facebook page, its hours are 4-9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
