Thinking about ski trips? Alaska Airlines is offering a new service out of Seattle

For those up for an out-of-area ski trip this winter, Alaska Airlines will be offering a new service out of Seattle starting Dec. 17.

The airline announced in a news release that it will have seasonal nonstop service from Seattle to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, five days a week.

Alaska is starting the service knowing that people may still be wary of traveling during the COVID-19 pandemic, but also noted that outdoor excursions have become an alternative for many, according to the news release.

“We know this is a challenging time for travelers and for our local community; offering non-stop service to Jackson Hole will appeal to skiers/snowboarders and winter enthusiasts, while providing a great option for many of our locals with family and/or business connections on the West Coast,” said Wyoming State Senator Mike Gierau said in the news release.

Flights from Seattle will take place Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are special introductory fares between now and Sept. 2.
