Whatcom Community College students can now apply to live on-campus for fall quarter
Whatcom Community College is accepting applications for its first on-campus residential hall.
Cedar Hall will be ready for the fall quarter, according to a news release from the school. The four-story building can have 233 residents, who will each have their own bedroom in either two- or four-bedroom suites. There are also a limited number of studios and one-bedroom apartments.
All units will be fully furnished with a kitchen, appliances and a smart television. The $28 million building will also have study room, recreational areas and a laundry facility. The building is on Olivine Lane, near Cordata Parkway and next to the Whatcom Transit Authority bus station.
Cedar Hall is expected to be an attractive option for international and out-of-state students. According to the news release, the addition of the hall is allowing Whatcom Community College to expand its international program, which currently hosts about 320 students each year from more than 25 countries.
Prices range from $950 a month for a private bedroom in a four-bedroom suite to a $1,400 a month for a private one-bedroom apartment. All unit prices include utilities, data to the television, wireless internet and parking.
