A new real estate firm enters the Bellingham market, but it will have familiar faces
There’s a new real estate company in Bellingham, but it has many familiar faces.
Compass is having its official grand opening at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14 with a private event. The office is in Fairhaven’s Waldron Building at 1318 12th St., near Zane Burger.
The office has 11 real estate brokers who had a combined sales total of more than $100 million so far in 2019, according to a company news release. Those brokers include Ken and Zach Harrison, Michelle Harrington, Eric Larson and Anne Cantrell. All 11 brokers live in the southside of Bellingham.
Zach Harrison said Compass provides better tools to access current market information, allowing owners to sell their homes faster. They also have a service of providing a no-interest loan to cover costs of home improvement services like staging, flooring and painting to better prepare a home for market.
Along with homes, the brokers at the Fairhaven office can handle other real estate, including commercial and vacant land. The office is also expected to be used as a place to host events and be a community gathering spot. In picking the Waldron Building, Zach Harrison said it is an opportunity to revitalize a historical place.
Compass was founded in 2012, headquartered in New York City. It is now in more than 100 cities. According to its website, the company focuses on providing local brokers with technology to make the buying and selling process easier.
