To help you find the perfect one for you, we rounded up the seven best cats for seniors that are affectionate, calm and easy to care for, according to experts.
However, when looking for a senior-friendly cat, the right match isn't just about personality, but about their care needs and how well they will fit into your life so they'll feel more like family to you than a pet. "There's a lot to consider beyond just temperament when you're looking for a cat for older adults," says Aimee Warner, DVM, resident veterinarian at Waggel. "You also need to think about grooming needs, diet, and how much daily interaction the cat will require."
After all, some felines are naturally better suited to relaxed routines, while others may need more stimulation or attention. Neither is better than the other, it simply depends on what you're looking for.
