Perfectly Pinup Boutique to celebrate grand opening in Centralia on July 2

A new women's clothing boutique inspired by the 1950s is opening its doors in Centralia.

Perfectly Pinup Boutique will celebrate its grand opening at noon on Thursday, July 2, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The boutique is located at 702 W. Main St., Centralia.

To celebrate the grand opening, shoppers will receive 10% off all purchases on July 2. In addition, every purchase made between July 2 and July 4 will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate, with customers able to earn multiple entries by making additional purchases during the three-day celebration, according to a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.

Perfectly Pinup Boutique offers fashionable clothing in sizes XS through 2XL, along with shoes and accessories that are in harmony with the boutique's retro aesthetic.

Owner Destiny Simpson and her husband transformed a former muffler shop into a retail space that perfectly reflects the boutique's vintage-inspired personality, the release stated.

Looking ahead, Simpson plans to make use of the property's spacious parking lot by hosting vintage car shows, pop-up vendors and food trucks, creating a destination where shopping and community events come together.

The opportunity to start Perfectly Pinup Boutique arrived during one of the most difficult periods of Simpson's life after being diagnosed with breast cancer for a second time, according to the release.

"I had essentially given up," Simpson recalled.

A chance conversation with a friend led to an introduction to the owner of the former muffler shop.

On May 1, the two reached an agreement for Simpson to lease the building. Almost exactly two months later, her longtime dream of opening a themed boutique became reality.

"This experience has given me hope again!" she said in the release.

She continues to work part-time while growing her new business.

Perfectly Pinup Boutique is open on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as her business gets started. Look for updates @perfectlypinupboutique on social media via Instagram and Facebook.
