Church's Chicken Teams Up with Juvenile to Take a "Swing" at the Biscuit Competition
Well, it appears Church's Chicken isn't afraid to start a little drama, as they've decided to reignite their biscuit feud with a certain Louisiana-inspired franchise for National Biscuit Day in the US. What makes this even more intriguing is the fact that Church's Chicken enlisted the help of hip-hop legend Juvenile.
Now, for those who don't know, two months ago, social media saw an unexpected war of words between Church's Chicken and Popeyes. What started as Church's Chicken simply replying to an X (formerly Twitter) user who was commenting about their love of the restaurant's honey biscuits turned into a heated and shady exchange between Church's Chicken and Popeyes X accounts. Here are a few of the more comical remarks below.
Having said all that, what did Church's Chicken and Juvenile do to reignite this biscuit war? Let's just say it involves baseball with no ball.
Juvenile Throws a Pitch Using a Popeyes Biscuit
Coincidentally, on National Biscuit Day, rappers Juvenile and Manny Fresh had a special guest on their new podcast, Still 400 - The Mannie & Juvie Show. The duo welcomed the CEO of Church's Texas Chicken, Roland Gonzalez, who happens to be an award-winning collegiate baseball player. At one point during their conversation, Juvenile called on Gonzalez to flex his athletic chops. While holding a Popeyes biscuit in his hand, the "Back that Azz Up" rapper told the CEO, "I want to play baseball and let you hit the hardest thing I know."
A few beats later, Juvenile pitched the biscuit to Gonzalez, and Gonzalez hit it. Remarkably, the shadiest aspect of this whole thing was the commentary after the hit. Check out the clip below.

Who Has the Better Biscuit: Church's Chicken or Popeyes?
As someone who isn't biased and has tasted the biscuits from both competitors, I believe they both have good flavor. However, I do typically prefer one over the other. I'll just keep that information between me and those who know me for now. What I will say is that if we are talking restaurant biscuits, there's a good argument that the best one is actually made by Red Lobster. But what do you think?
