Not every dog is blessed with natural athleticism. Some activities become a serious sport for the stumpier canines, if only because it takes more work to move their bodies the same way a larger, more agile pup might.

Such is the plight of English Bulldog brothers, Cartman and Wallace. As excited as they are to have a kiddie pool of their very own, it's an Olympic event to step over the side to get in! To add more cuteness to an already-cute scenario, one pup's "drumstick leg" has fans obsessed!

It's a bit of an effort for Wallace to lift that leg up and over, but he gave it his best shot. For an English Bulldog, that's about as much exercise that'll happen at any given time, so he deserves a soak in the pool to relax those hard-working muscles.

To add a little more sweetness to the honeypot, the pup's favorite human, Dad, joins him while brother Cartman sticks to exploring the yard. Whether they're taking a dip in the pool or just being cuties, they're crushing it!

Why English Bulldogs Have Stumpy 'Drumstick' Legs

English Bulldogs have a few distinct features you might picture if you close your eyes, those legs being among them.

A 23andMe study found that the reason a Bulldog's legs are so "stumpy" is due to genetic chondrodysplasia, also called short-limbed dwarfism, resulting from genetic marker FGF4. The short legs may be a breed standard, but they can be weak and cause instability or even other health issues, such as spinal issues, premature growth plate closure, and hip dysplasia.

As for Cartman and Wallace, they're healthy and happy boys who are more than happy to show off their precious drumsticks (and we thank them for it)!
