The chain confirmed in its first-quarter 2026 earnings release, published May 7, that menu prices increased by 1.9% in early April. The move comes as commodity and labor costs continue to squeeze restaurant margins across the industry, and Texas Roadhouse is not immune - despite some of the strongest sales numbers in the chain's history.

How Much More Will You Pay at Texas Roadhouse?

A 1.9% price increase on a $15 entrée works out to roughly an additional 28 cents. On a $60 family dinner, you're looking at about $1.14 more. It's not dramatic, but it adds up over time, and it comes at a moment when many consumers are already watching every dollar at the register.

Texas Roadhouse CEO Jerry Morgan framed the quarter positively despite the margin pressure. "We kicked off 2026 with terrific momentum, thanks to the hard work and discipline of all our operators," Morgan said in the earnings release. "Our strong traffic trends continue to fuel sales growth, and it's clear that our commitment to delivering a legendary experience is appreciated by our guests."

Texas Roadhouse Opening 22 New Locations

Texas Roadhouse opened its first location in 1993 and has grown to more than 700 locations across 49 states, with nearly 40 international locations in 10 countries. The chain currently has 22 new locations under construction, signaling continued confidence in its expansion strategy despite the inflationary headwinds.
