A Lynden restaurant has announced it is closing permanently at the end of the year.

Wissota Chophouse, a steakhouse chain with locations across the country, will close its Lynden restaurant Saturday, Dec. 27.

The closure announcement comes after the restaurant celebrated its one-year anniversary last month.

“We’ve truly appreciated the support of our community and all of our wonderful guests to have dined with us this past year,” a Facebook post announcing the closure states.

No other Wissota Chophouse locations have announced closures.

The Facebook post also encourages those with restaurant gift cards to use them before the closure.

Wissota Chophouse is open from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 8155 Guide Meridian in Lynden.
