They’re back: Ferndale brewery and restaurant reopens following renovations

District Brewing, a brewery and restaurant with locations in Mount Vernon, Ferndale and Lynden, has reopened its Ferndale location after completing renovations and additions.

The brewery reopened on Wednesday, Dec. 3, after adding a theater room, kitchen, and upgrading its seating areas, according to a news release from the brewery.

The new kitchen will allow the Ferndale location to serve the same pizzas, wings, salads and appetizers that are available at the other locations.

The new menu includes pretzel bites, mini corn dogs and pizzas named after some classic movies like “Caddyshack,” “Christmas Story,” “Field of Dreams” and “Lilo & Stitch.”

“District Brewing also added some booths and seating improvements, plus a theater room that will offer a weekly movie night for children,” the news release states. “The Ferndale taproom at 2000 Main St. will continue to offer beer crafted at its main brewery in Mount Vernon, plus the best guest beers, cider, seltzers, kombucha and non-alcoholic options such as root beer and orange cream.”

“We’re a fun place for families and friends to gather,” Shintaffer said in the news release.

District Brewing’s Ferndale location is open from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and noon to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays at 2000 Main St. in downtown Ferndale.
