Bellingham brewery nominated for Top 10 Brewpubs in the country; voting is open now
USA Today is looking for the Top 10 Brew Pubs in the U.S., and one Bellingham brewery has been nominated to compete for the title.
A panel of beer experts chose 20 brewpubs across the country based on their house beers, guest brews and food to participate in the competition.
Bellingham brewery and restaurant Otherlands is the only Washington brewery among the 20 nominees.
Otherlands was opened in June 2020 by Karoline Lobrow and Ben Howe, who wanted to create “a cozy beautiful space” with inspiration from Lobrow’s Polish heritage.
“This family-owned brewery and café in Bellingham, Washington, offers rustic lagers, farmhouse ales, and modern American pale ales,” according to the USA Today article. “The café serves a seasonal menu of European-inspired street foods, such as Belgian-style fries, pierogis, and latkes. Otherlands welcomes guests of all ages and offers a dog-friendly patio.”
Online voting is open through Monday, Feb. 24, and the top 10 winners will be announced Wednesday, March 5. Participants are allowed to vote once per day.
Otherlands is open from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 2121 Humboldt St. in Bellingham’s Sunnyland neighborhood.
