Downtown Bellingham taproom and restaurant closing permanently after 2.5 years of business
Another downtown Bellingham restaurant and bar is closing permanently, just a week after Boundary Bay Brewery announced its permanent closure. Time and Materials, a taproom and restaurant in Bellingham, will permanently close Saturday, Nov. 23. The closure was announced Nov. 15 in a social media post.
“Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who has made Time and Materials such a special place. We are heartbroken to be leaving, but so grateful to have been able to serve you for the past 2 and a half years. We’ll be pouring until Saturday, the 23rd, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the little community we have built here,” the Instagram post states.
The taproom serves a variety of Mediterranean foods such as gyros, dips with pita bread, salads, rice bowls and even homemade pistachio ice cream and brown butter chocolate chunk cookies with tahini caramel.
Visitors could also enjoy beer from local breweries like Kulshan Brewing Co. and Larrabee Lager Co., as well as wines, draft cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages and a “house boozy seltzer blackberry lemonade.”
During the taproom’s last week, it will be open from 3 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at 954 N State St.
