Bellingham Vegan Restaurant Week celebrates local restaurants and ‘intentional’ dining

Bellingham Vegan Restaurant Week is back for its fifth year of celebrating local Bellingham restaurants and vegan menus.

“We’re not talking about fries and side salads!” the event’s website states. “We’re talking inventive and intentional vegan creations that will convince you that animals are not needed to make you happy and satisfied.”

Bellingham Vegan Restaurant Week runs from Monday, June 10 through Sunday, June 16. The event promotes local restaurants that offer special 100% vegan menu items during the week.

Twenty-four Bellingham restaurants are participating this year and have added new vegan specials to their menu for customers to try this week only, including a waffle bowl sundae, cheesesteak lumpia, ginger spice cookies, fajitas, curry and more.

Those wishing to participate can download the official guide to the weeklong celebration that includes each restaurant’s operating hours, address, specials they will be serving and a map of all participants.
