Fairhaven restaurant listed for sale after 14 years of serving crepes and the community
Magdalena’s Bistro and Crêperie, after 14 years of serving pierogis and crepes in Fairhaven, announced it is listed for sale on social media posts Thursday.
The European style bistro was started by Magdalena Theisen, a chef from Poland who “specializes in authentic French crêpes, Polish dumplings, and eastern European soups and sandwiches,” according to the Facebook post.
The restaurant also serves European wines, local beers and Stumptown Coffee, and even hosted cooking classes.
The restaurant is not just loved for its food but for its generosity. In 2022, the restaurant collected donations and sent care packages to Ukraine.
But don’t worry if you want to get another Belgian dark chocolate crepe or pork pierogi before the restaurant is sold, you have some time! The owners “have no plans to close before we sell,” and will be open from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday at 1200 10th St., Ste 103 in Bellingham.
“Ideally, I could train someone to follow in my footsteps. But we’ve built a customer base here that can support someone else’s vision as well,” Theisen wrote in the Facebook post.
The restaurant is listed for sale at $150,000, and interested parties should contact Greg Theisen at greg@magdalenascreperie.com or 360-922-8165.
