‘Fresh and DELICIOUS!’ Poll finds the best fish and chips in Whatcom County

We asked readers where to find the best fish and chips in Whatcom County and the votes are in.

The poll had 14 local restaurant options in Whatcom County including Keenan’s at the Pier, Anthony’s, Bayou on Bay and Rustler’s Front Street Grill.

The unscientific poll received 224 votes.

The best fish and chips in Whatcom County

Port Fairhaven Fish-N-Chips received 60 votes to top the list of the best fish and chips in Whatcom County.

The small restaurant is located inside the Bellingham Cruise Terminal and serves up a variety of seafood. Its menu includes housemade cole slaw and tartar sauce, shrimp, cod, halibut, calamari and salmon as well as clam chowder, fries, onion rings and drinks.

The restaurant has high praise online, receiving a 4.5-star rating from 22 reviews on Yelp.

Port Fairhaven Fish-n-Chips is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and is at 355 Harris Ave. in Bellingham.

Following Port Fairhaven Fish-n-Chips with 52 votes was Nicki’s Bella Marina.

Nicki’s Bella Marina is also known as Nicki’s Bar & Grill, and serves a variety of lunch and dinner options. Its menu includes burgers, BBQ ribs, shrimp, wings, hard ice cream and more.

Nicki’s Bella Marina is also popular online, receiving a 3.5-star rating from 122 reviews on Yelp.

Nicki’s Bella Marina is open from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is at 2615 S. Harbor Loop Drive in Bellingham.

In third place was Anthony’s with 20 votes, followed by The Black Cat with 19 votes and The Filling Station with 17 votes.
