Where can I eat out on Christmas Day? These Whatcom restaurants are offering special meals
While you’re planning your Christmas events and meals, a few Whatcom County restaurants are keeping their doors open to offer special holiday meals if you’d rather eat out for the holiday.
The Bellingham Herald has put together a list of local restaurants offering Christmas Day meals, as well as restaurants that will be closed for the holiday.
Christmas Day Buffet at Lighthouse Bar and Grill
The Lighthouse Bar and Grill at the Hotel Bellwether will be hosting a Christmas Day buffet from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The buffet will include holiday favorites such as turkey, prime rib, gravy, ham and salmon, as well as seafood and desserts. Wine, beer and specialty cocktails will also be available for an additional cost. The buffet costs $75 for adults, $45 for guests ages 10 and under, and is free for children 4 and under. Reservations are required and must be made by calling 360-392-3100.
Breakfast at Keenan’s at the Pier
Keenan’s at the Pier will be open from 7-11 a.m. on Christmas Day to serve breakfast, featuring dishes such as oatmeal, a winter hash, pancakes and eggs Benedict. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made online or by calling 360-392-5510. The restaurant is located inside The Chrysalis Inn & Spa at 804 10th St. in Bellingham.
Christmas dinner at B-Town Kitchen and Raw Bar
B-Town Kitchen and Raw Bar will host a Christmas dinner from noon to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day. The menu includes a roasted chestnut soup, prime rib, parsnip potato mash, apple bear chutney and a caramel apple cobbler with ice cream for dessert. Reservations are encouraged and can be made online or by calling 360-392-6502. The restaurant is at 714 Lakeway Dr. in Bellingham.

Some local restaurants have yet to announce holiday hours and specials.
