We asked readers where to find the best locally-made pizza in Whatcom County and the votes are in.
The poll had 16 local restaurant options in Whatcom County including Ovn Woodfire Pizza, Cascade Pizza, McKay’s Taphouse and Pizzeria and Elizabeth Station. The unscientific poll received a total of 232 votes.
The best pizza in Whatcom County
La Fiamma Wood Fire Pizza was voted as making the best pizza in Whatcom County with 52 votes.
La Fiamma and it’s Pye Hole pizza slice window offers Whatcom County residents and visitors pizzas, pasta, soups, salads and more.
The wood-fired pizzas come with toppings such as black truffle butter, pepperoni, shrimp, smoked salmon, lamb sausage, potatoes and more.
But this isn’t the restaurant’s first poll win. La Fiamma also won The Bellingham Herald’s poll for best pizza in Bellingham in 2021.
The local pizza spot is also popular online, receiving a 4-star rating from 476 Yelp reviews.
La Fiamma Wood Fire Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to 9 pm. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The Pye Hole pizza slice window is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. La Fiamma is located in Bellingham at 200 E. Chestnut St.
Following La Fiamma Wood Fire Pizza with 41 votes was Cascade Pizza.
Cascade Pizza’s menu includes pizzas, salads, soups, pastas, spare ribs and other Italian dishes.
Cascade Pizza is also well-loved online and has received a 3.5-star rating from 95 reviews on Yelp.
Cascade Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 3-8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The restaurant is located at 2431 Meridian St. in Bellingham.
The North Fork Brewery came in third place with 26 votes, followed by Ovn Woodfire Pizza with 23 votes, McKay’s Taphouse and Pizzeria with 18 votes and Cicchitti’s Pizza with 15 votes.
