Here’s who you voted the best cup of coffee in Bellingham
The votes are in, and BellinghamHerald.com readers have selected their favorite cup of coffee.
Our poll was open Friday, Oct 1, to Friday, Oct. 8. Because we allowed multiple votes per person, results from the non-scientific poll may be fueled by caffeine and more than a couple of business appeals on Facebook.
But all’s fair in love and coffee.
We’re not sure what to make of the 2,490 votes that gave McDonald’s 3% of the vote, enough to tie percentages with Bellingham’s independent business’ third-place winner. Are those protest votes against pumpkin spice? Maybe the price is right, along with the quality.
Now, for the independent winners:
▪ In third place, with 2,314 votes for 3% overall, is Camber, at 221 W Holly St.
▪ In second place, with 28,773 votes for 40% overall, is Shirlee Bird Cafe, at 1200 Harris Avenue, Suite 100.
▪ And the winner, with 49% of votes, is ... the Black Drop Coffeehouse, 206 W. Magnolia St. The business received 35,719 votes.
Thank you to the coffee drinkers who made a total of 73,545 votes over the week.
