The Northwest Washington Fair is returning to Lynden Aug. 7-16, and there are a few things you may need to know before visiting this year. Here’s your guide to this year’s NW WA Fair:
How to get tickets
Tickets are available online in advance or at the NW WA Fair office. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily during the fair, and is at 1775 Front St. in Lynden.
Tickets cost $15 for ages 13-61, $13 for ages 62 and over, $10 for ages 6-12, and are free for ages 5 and under. Season passes are also available for $45.
Unlimited carnival ride wristbands are also available for $45 per person, per day.
Parking and transportation
There are many paid parking lots around the fairground, but no official fair parking. Parking around the city of Lynden is free on most streets and nearby blocks.
The fair does offer a free park-and-ride shuttle from Fisher School to the fairgrounds. The shuttle will run from 11 am. to 10 p.m. daily, with pick-ups and drop-off at Gate 1. Fisher School is at 501 14th St. in Lynden.
Whatcom Transit Authority is also offering free bus rides during the fair, across Whatcom County for “Free Fare Days.” For a schedule and map of routes, visit the WTA website.
