Easter Keg Hunt? Bloody Mary bars? Check out these unique Bellingham Easter events

From Easter egg hunts, delicious brunches, visits from the Easter Bunny and an “Easter Keg Hunt,” Bellingham has events to celebrate the holiday for the whole family.

Easter brunches

Chuckanut Bay Distillery is hosting an Easter brunch buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 20. The restaurant will serve a wide variety of dishes such as vanilla chia parfaits, a bloody Mary bar, cheddar hash brown cake, crepes, eggs, macarons, croissants, bourbon-apricot glazed ham and bacon. The buffet costs $55 for adults, $35 for children ages 10 and under, and is free for ages 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased online in advance. Chuckanut Bay Distillery is at 1311 Cornwall Ave.

An Easter brunch buffet at Hotel Bellwether will be served from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20, featuring an omelet and benedict bar, brioche French toast, salads, prime rib, salmon, ham, pastries and desserts. Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling 360-392-3100. Tickets cost $85 for adults, $55 for children 10 and under, or free for children 5 and under. Hotel Bellwether is at 1 Bellwether Way.

Northwater restaurant inside the Holiday Inn & Suites is serving an Easter buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 20. The buffet menu includes a creme brulee French toast casserole, smoked salmon, lamb, potatoes, salads, pastries and frittatas. The buffet costs $55 for adults and $30 for kids 12 and under. A mimosa and Blood Mary bar are also available. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 360-398-6191 or by emailing christelb@hotelservicesgroup.com. Northwater is at 4260 Mitchell Way.

The Hotel Leo is hosting a special Páscoa Rhythms: Easter Brunch with Jovino Santos Neto from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20. The brunch with “a Brazilian twist” will feature live music and a buffet with prime beef sirloin roast, coconut chicken thighs and broiled salmon plank. The buffet costs $68 for adults, $34 for children 12 and under, and 10% off for seniors. The Hotel Leo is at 1224 Cornwall Ave.

Easter egg hunts and family events

The 15th annual Lettered Streets Neighborhood Egg Hunt will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19 for kids in grade 5 and younger. The free event will include an egg hunt, an inflatable slide, crafts, games and a photo booth, as well as door prizes for events. The egg hunt is at Fouts Park, at 1901 G St.

The Arne Hanna Aquatic Center is hosting an underwater egg hunt from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 19. The hunt costs $10 per person, and there will be multiple hunts throughout the event. The Arne Hanna Aquatic Center is at 1114 Potter St.

Maritime Spring Fest, a festival with egg hunts, live music, a vendor market and games will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19. The event is free for all ages and is at Maritime Heritage Park at 500 W Holly St.

Easter brewery events

Kulshan Brewing Company’s Easter Keg Hunt runs from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 19. Teams can compete to follow clues across Bellingham to find the hidden keg. Those wishing to participate must register online in advance and could win the grand prize of a $200 Kulshan gift card. After the keg is found, an after-party will be hosted at Kulshan’s Sunnyland location until 7 p.m. at 2238 James St.

Boundary Bay Brewery is hosting an Easter brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 20 for all ages with a special brunch menu. The brunch will also include an Easter egg hunt in the beer garden at noon. Reservations are encouraged and can be made online. Boundary Bay Brewery is at 1107 Railroad Ave.
