Celebrate New Year’s Eve at these brewery parties, concerts and more in Whatcom County
Looking for some fun New Year’s Eve events to celebrate the beginning of 2025? We’ve put together a guide of Whatcom County’s events you won’t want to miss on Tuesday, Jan. 31:
▪ Chuckanut Bay Distillery’s “New Year’s Eve 80’s Ballroom Bash” will run from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and features a live DJ, a photo booth, a 80s attire competition, appetizers, a cocktail and champagne pour at midnight. The 21-and-over party costs $45 per person, and tickets can be purchased online. Chuckanut Bay Distillery is at 1309 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham.
▪ Bar Two Eleven is hosting a New Year’s Eve Celebration with SPACEBAND starting at 9 p.m. The event is only for ages 21 and up, and tickets can be purchased online in advance for $15. Bar Two Eleven is at 211 E Chestnut St. in Bellingham.
▪ Whatcom Museum is hosting a New Year’s Eve party from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., including a cash bar, live music, appetizers and a champagne toast at 9 p.m. as the ball drops in Times Square. Tickets for the 21-and-up event cost $50 per person and can be purchased online in advance. The party is at Whatcom Museum’s Old City Hall at 121 Prospect St. in Bellingham.
▪ Redlight Kitchen and Bar will be open from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. serving a special New Year’s Eve dinner including steak, rainbow trout, crab rangoon, butternut squash congee, desserts and a champagne toast at midnight. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Redlight Kitchen and Bar is at 109 Grand Ave. Suite 101 in Bellingham.
▪ Boundary Bay Brewery is hosting a New Year’s Eve party featuring a live band, Whalien. The 21-and-over party costs $12 online or $15 at the door per person. Boundary Bay Brewery is at 1107 Railroad Ave. in Bellingham.
▪ Birch Bay’s Ring of Fire & Hope, an annual celebration, will start at 7 p.m. along the shore from Birch Bay State Park to the village, where participants will light flares along the beach. The biodegradable flares are available for each family on a first come, first serve basis.
▪ Stones Throw Brewing Co. is hosting a New Year’s Eve party at 7 p.m. with two live bands and watching the ball drop at 9 p.m. and midnight. The free event is open to all ages. Stones Throw Brewing Co. is at 1009 Larrabee Ave. in Bellingham.
▪ Red Star Taco Bar is hosting a New Year’s Eve party from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. The free event includes a live DJ, dancing, drink specials, taco Tuesday deals and a Polaroid photo booth. Red Star Taco Bar is at 1327 N State St. in Bellingham.
