Whatcom County farm offers free Santa photos, tree farm, sweets, distillery tastings and more

Bellewood Farms and Distillery in Lynden is hosting its annual holiday celebrations, featuring free photos with Santa, a Christmas tree farm, s’mores around outdoor fire pits and a variety of sweets and treats from its restaurant, bakery and distillery.

“Christmas at Bellewood” runs through December, and now is the perfect time to enjoy its festivities for all ages as the holidays get closer.

Visitors can take free photos with Santa from noon to 4 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday before Christmas Day, according to a news release.

“Santa photos are perfect for sharing the joy of the holiday season with family and friends,” said Eric Abel, president of Bellewood Farms & Distillery.

Throughout December, musicians and carolers will perform at the farm periodically from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

While visiting, guests can purchase adult beverages, cider, s’more kits for the outdoor bonfire pits, coffee and hot chocolate. The farm’s bakery also bakes fresh cinnamon rolls, macaroons, pies, scones and more treats.

Adults can sample the distillery’s housemade vodkas, Schnapps, whiskeys and more, including the festive peppermint Schnapps and holiday cinnamon vodka.

The farm also has a variety of freshly cut Christmas trees from Alpine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm near Deming available for purchase.

Bellewood Farms is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday at 6140 Guide Meridian Road in Lynden.
