Bellingham’s Oktoberfest pub crawl is back this weekend, celebrating Sunnyland’s 7 breweries

The Bellingham Herald

Sunnyland Fest, the Sunnyland neighborhood’s Oktoberfest-style pub crawl, is back for its fourth year from Thursday, Sept. 14, through Sunday, Sept. 17.

The beer festival is put on by all Sunnyland neighborhood breweries and taprooms — El Sueñito Brewing Company, Twin Sisters Brewing Company, Stemma Brewing Co., Wander Brewing, Otherlands Beer, North Fork Brewery Barrel House, and both Kulshan Brewing Company taprooms.

“Each brewery will be running special events like live music, food specials, Oktoberfest contests, and we will all be doing punch cards for prizes,” Karolina Lobrow, co-founder of Otherlands Beer, wrote in an email to The Bellingham Herald.

Participants must be 21 and can visit each brewery to receive a punch on their punch card. At their last brewery, participants can turn in their punch card to be entered into a raffle to win gift cards and merchandise from the local breweries.

Each brewery will also release a special beer for the event.

The festival aims to “celebrate all the local breweries who call the wonderful and peculiar Sunnyland Neighborhood their home,” according to the event’s Facebook page.

The event also recommends those participating in the “pub crawl of epic proportions” drink responsibly and “take your time to enjoy this beautiful amalgamation of breweries,” according to the event’s Facebook page.
