Beer, jazz, tools and cars. Here’s where to celebrate Father’s Day Sunday in Whatcom County

Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 19, and finding a great place to celebrate is just as important as the perfect gift.

For those looking to celebrate Father’s Day in Whatcom County, these local events and businesses are hosting specials on Sunday to honor fathers in the area:

Jazz Garden Party at Boundary Bay Brewery

For jazz lovers, Boundary Bay Brewery will be hosting musician Emily Asher and her band for classic jazz, while visitors can enjoy the restaurant’s food and beer.

The brewery’s menu features dishes such as fish tacos, burgers, New York strip steak and pesto salmon sandwiches. The bar also features Boundary Bay beers as well as cocktails, wine and ciders.

The garden party concert takes place from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, and tickets can be purchased online in advance for $10 each.

Boundary Bay Brewery is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday at 1107 Railroad Ave.

Father’s Day Car Show at Bellewood Farms

For car enthusiasts, Bellewood Farms is hosting its 8th Annual Father’s Day Car Show.

The free event features over 200 classic and modified cars and trucks, food, beer and live music.

Bellewood Farm’s cafe and bakery will be serving burgers, fish and chips, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken apple curry soup and pesto mac and cheese. Beer and cider will also be available on tap. Attendees will also be able to sample farm-made apple spirits in the farm’s distillery.

Local musicians Red Sky Riders will be performing a mix of Americana and Bluegrass music from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. and is located in Lynden at 6140 Guide Meridian Road.

Father’s Day at Twin Sister’s Brewing

Twin Sister’s Brewing Company is having a Father’s Day special on Sunday. When visitors order a 20-ounce pour, they will get it for the price of a 16-ounce pour and can keep the glass as well.

The brewery recommends celebrating early as the free glassware is limited.

The Twin Sister’s menu features dishes such as burgers, street tacos, PNW cheesesteak sandwiches and beer pretzel bites.

Twin Sister’s Brewing Company is open noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at 500 Carolina St.

Hardware Sales Tool Fair

Hardware Sales, a family-owned hardware store is hosting its annual Tool Fair event on Friday, June 17, and Saturday, June 18.

The Father’s Day weekend event will feature over 20 vendors with power tools for attendees to preview and purchase.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday at 2034 James St.
