Chuckanut Bay Distillery Tour and Tasting
Chuckanut Bay Distillery offers tours on Saturdays which include an hour-long tour of the distillery and barrel room, two cocktails per person and a souvenir glass.
Tickets are $20 per person for visitors 21 and older and are available to purchase online.
Chuckanut Bay Distillery is located in Bellingham at 1311 Cornwall Ave.
Sin and Gin Tour
The Good Time Girls in Bellingham is known for hosting historic walking tours focused on the unfiltered history of Bellingham through the ages of the wild west, prohibition, brothels and saloons. They are located at 1311 Cornwall Ave.
Tours last a little over an hour and are suggested for ages 18 and older due to some adult content. The tours take place at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, May 21, and tickets are available for purchase online for $20.
Jazz Concert
The Jazz Project will be putting on a jazz concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 22. Performers will include the group Chick Corea Tribute and Duende Libre. The Duende Libre trio includes Alex Chadsey on piano, Jeff Busch on drums and Farko Dosumov on bass, and after the first set solo pianist Jeffrey Gilliam will play.
The concert will take place at The Firehouse Performing Arts Center in Bellingham at 1314 Harris Ave., and tickets are available to purchase online for $20.
Concert for Ukraine
The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship will be hosting a concert with The Choir of the Salish Sea to support Ukrainian refugee relief. Songs about exile, home, war, peace and reliance will be sung.
A portion of each full-priced ticket will be donated. Donations will also be accepted to aid refugees from the war in Ukraine.
Two concerts will be hosted at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. Tickets can be purchased online and cost $20 for general admission and $5 for students and veterans.
COVID restrictions require attendees to have proof of vaccination and wear a mask.
The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship is located in Bellingham at 1207 Ellsworth St.
Shakedown and The Racket Bar & Pinball Lounge
The Shakedown is a live music venue that is connected to The Racket Bar & Pinball Lounge, a restaurant and bar with 14 pinball machines.
The Shakedown features a full bar and will have Warren Dunes, Tomo Nakayama and Miles Harris performing live starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and tickets are $15. On Saturday night, Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel and Strange Cities will be performing at 9 p.m., and tickets are $20. Tickets for both nights are available online.
The Racket Bar & Pinball Lounge has a full menu and bar to enjoy while playing pinball and features dishes such as Philly cheesesteaks, falafel, garlic fries and pizza totchos, or Tater Tot nachos.
The Racket Bar & Pinball Lounge is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is located with The Shakedown in Bellingham at 1212 N. State St.
Upfront Theatre
The Upfront Theatre is a nonprofit improv theatre that has live improv performances, classes, workshops and private events.
The theater is holding two shows this weekend, “Days of Our Nights,” an improvised soap opera, and “The Laughter Games,” a series of improvised challenges for performers.
“Days of Our Nights” is live at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and Saturday, May 21, and “The Laughter Games” is live at 9:30 p.m.
Tickets are available online for $15 for the 7:30 p.m. shows, $13 for the 9:30 p.m. shows and $10 for students.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required but masks are optional.
The Upfront Theatre is located in Bellingham in the Sylvia Center for the Arts at 207 Prospect St.
1-UP Lounge
The 1-UP Lounge is a cocktail and video game lounge. The bar features cocktails such as a boozy milkshake, polyjuice potion, lavender spritzer and chocolate raspberry martini. Its menu has appetizers including pepperjack macaroni and cheese bites, pizza sticks and tater tots and also has entrees such as tuna melts and panko-crusted chicken strips. The lounge also hosts Thursday trivia nights and Monday movie nights.
The lounge requires proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test from the last 72 hours, as well as wearing a mask.
The lounge is open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday through Friday, and from noon to 1 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and is located in Bellingham at 1121 McKenzie Ave.
Ax Throwing
Bellingham Axe has ax throwing that requires no experience and can be booked for parties or events as well as a typical date night.
Ax throwing costs $20 an hour per person, $30 for 90 minutes, and $40 for two hours and lanes can be booked online in advance.
Bellingham Axe has a bar upstairs with snacks and drinks, but also allows outside food and non-alcoholic drinks to be brought in.
Bellingham Axe is open from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, 5-10 p.m. on Friday, 1-10 p.m. on Saturday and from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday. Bellingham Axe is located at 1414 Cornwall Ave., Unit 100.
