You can visit a Washington state or national park for free on Veterans Day.

The free entrance to national parks is good for both Saturday and Sunday. It covers parks that normally charge an entrance fee, including Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks and Lewis & Clark National Historical Park in Washington state.

State parks will not require a Discover Pass on Saturday. It’s one of two days left this year when a Discover Pass will not be needed.

The other is Nov. 24, a Friday picked to encourage the public to make an autumn visit to a state park.

Discover Passes cost $30 for a year or $10 a day, plus transaction charges, and can be used on two vehicles.
