Correction: Oil Pipeline-Protest story

In a story Sept. 23 about the purchase of a ranch near the site of a pipeline protest in North Dakota, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the purchase by Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners is exempt from the state's law against corporate-owned farms. North Dakota's attorney general has asked Energy Transfer to explain how the land will be used to determine whether it qualifies as exempt from the law.
