Sounders defender Brad Evans called to national team
Seattle Sounders FC defender Brad Evans has joined the United States national team camp being held in Carson, California.
Evans, 30, has 25 career appearances with the national team, including eight in 2015.
The national team will play its first matches of the new year Jan. 31 against Iceland and Feb. 5 against Canada. Both will be played in Carson.
Evans will rejoin Sounders FC once the national team camp ends Feb. 6.
Other Sounders will report to Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila for entrance physicals on Friday and Saturday, have Sunday off, and then begin preseason training Monday.
