The United States is co-hosting the 2026 World Cup with Mexico and Canada. The 39-day tournament kicked off June 11 in Mexico City and concludes with the final at East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19.
In the West, host cities include Seattle, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area.
Up to 750,000 people are expected to visit the Seattle region during the World Cup, according to Public Health - Seattle & King County.

When are FIFA World Cup games in Seattle?
The first FIFA Men’s World Cup game at Lumen Field, 800 South Occidental Ave. in Seattle, kicked off at noon Monday, June 15, according to the Seattle stadium’s website.
The first World Cup game in Seattle ended with a 1-1 tie between Belgium and Egypt, The Seattle Times reported.
The United States and Australia will go head-to-head at Lumen Field starting at noon on Friday, June 19.
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Qatar will face off on the pitch on Wednesday, June 24, at noon.
Egypt will take on the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday, June 26, starting at 8 p.m.
Two knockout games will take place on Wednesday, July 1, and Monday, July 6, with the opponents and times to be determined as gameplay progresses.
When are FIFA World Cup games in Vancouver?
World Cup matches are also being held at BC Place, 777 Pacific Blvd. in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Canada will take on Qatar at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
On Sunday, June 21, New Zealand will face off against Egypt at 6 p.m.
Switzerland will battle Canada at noon on Wednesday, June 24.
New Zealand and Belgium will face off on Friday, June 26, at 8 p.m.
Two yet-to-be-determined teams will play in a Round of 32 game at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, and there’s a Round of 16 matchup at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.
