Starting Monday, Aug. 18 hunters and other interested citizens may log on to the fish and wildlife department's Web portal at http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/regulations/seasonsetting/ to read and comment on preliminary hunting season alternatives that will lead to creation of a set of hunting regulations for the three year period between 2015 to 2017.

This comment period is open to Saturday, Sept. 20.
Department staff will hold six regional evening (7-9 p.m.) meetings in August to answer questions and hear public input on the proposals. The closest to Bellingham of these gatherings is the Tuesday, Aug. 26 one at the Everett Holiday Inn at 3105 Pine Street

There will be more opportunities for public comment as the three-year hunting season package is refined to a final set for fish and wildlife commission adoption in the spring of 2015.
