Ski to Sea seeking nearly 1,000 volunteers for 2016 race

Ski to Sea is seeking volunteers for the 2016 race, which will be held May 29, according to a press release.

With nearly 4,000 racers, the race needs approximately 1,000 volunteers both before and during the race to pull off the largest annual multi-sport in the Pacific Northwest.

Areas the race is seeking volunteers include: course clearing on the Cyclocross course from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 21; course set-up from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 28 at Zuanich Park in Bellingham, Riverside Park in Everson and Hovander Park in Ferndale; and race-day volunteers all-day on Sunday, May 29, particularly on the Cyclocross course.

Volunteers receive a free T-shirt, lunch and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Barbecue. Interested helpers can register online at skitosea.com/volunteer.
